One magical night
We looked to the star filled sky
And dreamt of heaven
Broken
Noise is pounding in through every wall
Keeping my thoughts from closing in
Through the haze of moving bodies
And my forced snapshot grin
Everything I’ve ever known starts to fall
Tattered and torn though no scar shown
My bruises ache and throb in silence
All that he’s done shakes me to the core
Breaking through my fragile defense
